Sometimes, the best adventures are the ones you create yourself.

In Minnesota's Northwoods, we transformed worn shipping containers into a modern retreat through two and a half years of dedication and resilience—all while maintaining our full-time jobs. Living in an RV during warmer months and braving winter in the containers, we poured our hearts into every step—redoing mistakes, learning as we went, and growing stronger together. This space stands as a testament to our love for adventure, hard work, and the joy of creating something truly unique.

Meet the Creators

We’re Britany and Austin Schachtner, the creators and builders of The BirchBox Container, a unique tiny home born from our shared passion for design and nature. Combining Austin’s construction expertise and Britany’s thoughtful design, we crafted this remarkable space ourselves—a true labor of love. By day, Austin is a software consultant and Britany excels in software sales; by night, we channel our creativity into crafting beautiful, meaningful spaces.
